The Brewhouse was derelict until its conversion, in the late 1990's, into a stunning detached property, overlooking a private paddock and Crakehall Beck.  The views from it are open and unspoilt and the interior is spacious and quirky.  It has been variously described as...."an inspired conversion..furnished and fitted with flair and imagination" and "..a wonderful place for a honeymoon", and "...fabulous week! ..cottage just what we wanted and in wonderful setting"

Malt Shovel House...

Formerly The Malt Shovel Inn, and a public house until the 1960's, Malt Shovel House is among the oldest properties in the village, and retains many original features.

Originally a small farmhouse, it has a long history as a maltster's and brewer's dating back to the late 1600's. A perfect holiday cottage for larger groups.

The Old Brewhouse...

Formerly the brewery and grain-store for the Malt Shovel Inn (now Malt Shovel House), The Old Brewhouse was derelict until its restoration in 1997.

This spacious holiday cottage is a detached property and, from the comfort of the deck which overlooks the stream and ½ acre paddock, visitors can enjoy privacy and unspoilt views of the adjacent countryside.  SLEEPS 4 + COT

The Blacksmiths Shop...

Completed in 2009, this modern studio type holiday cottage comprises a comfortable modern Lounge/Kitchen with attractive and efficient log-burner.

A small bright conservatory opens onto stone stairs leading to a private orchard with a small sun terrace. SLEEPS 2
